In a remarkable display of collaboration and bravery, joint security operatives comprising the troops of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police successfully rescued two Corps members who had been kidnapped by bandits in Yargoje community, located in the Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State. The operation took place on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, and culminated in the safe return of the abducted individuals.
The unfortunate incident occurred while the Corps members were traveling from Edo to Katsina State, falling victim to the criminal activities of the bandits. However, thanks to the swift response and coordinated efforts of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police, the victims were freed from their captors.
Following their rescue, the Corps members received immediate medical attention and the necessary support to ensure their physical and emotional well-being. They are currently under the care and custody of the Nigerian Police in Kankara, as efforts are being made to provide them with further assistance and aid during this challenging time.
