Oborevwori Vows to Govern Delta State for All, Promises More Projects and Inclusion"


In a recent radio interview on Kpoko FM, Sir Festus Ahon, Chief Press Secretary to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, reaffirmed the governor's commitment to representing all Deltans. Ahon expressed gratitude for the support received during the elections and subsequent legal battles.

Ahon assured the people of Delta State that Governor Oborevwori's administration would not take their support for granted. He emphasized the governor's readiness to deliver the dividends of democracy to every citizen, as outlined in his M.O.R.E agenda. Ahon highlighted the ongoing execution of projects across the state, spanning senatorial districts, local government areas, and communities.

The spokesperson further highlighted the government's efforts to empower the people, mentioning the recent recruitment of over 2000 teaching and non-teaching staff in primary schools. He also emphasized the payment of over N5 billion in promotion arrears to civil servants, underscoring the administration's dedication to serve the people of Delta State.

Ahon assured Deltans that they should expect an increased focus on project delivery now that the legal battles have concluded. He emphasized the government's commitment to executing quality projects across the state, ensuring the welfare and benefit of all citizens.

Regarding the opposition, Ahon expressed gratitude for their role in providing a robust contest, acknowledging that Delta State is not a one-party state. He appealed to the opposition to join hands with Governor Oborevwori's government, inviting them to contribute their ideas and work together to advance the state.

Addressing concerns about inclusivity, Ahon affirmed that Governor Oborevwori is a leader for all Deltans, regardless of their political affiliation. He cited an example of the governor personally covering medical expenses for the late Frank Kokori and expressed the government's readiness to support the family in organizing a dignified burial for the elder statesman.

Ahon reiterated that every part of the state would be given due attention in terms of projects, empowerment, and appointments. He concluded by stating that the governor and his team were still celebrating their victory and expressing gratitude to God for their success.
