As part of activities lined up to commemorate his second year in office, Hon. Perkins Umukoro, member representing Sapele Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, is set to roll out an empowerment programme for his constituents on Sunday, July 6, 2025. The initiative is aimed at supporting residents of Sapele Local Government Area through various empowerment packages that will enhance livelihoods and promote self-reliance.
In a statement personally signed by the lawmaker and made available to journalists, the event is scheduled to hold in Sapele by
10 a.m. The program is expected to draw beneficiaries from across the constituency, cutting across different sectors and demographics, including youths, women, and small-scale business owners.
As part of the day’s events, Hon. Umukoro will also host a World Press Conference where he will present his two-year scorecard. The briefing will offer insight into his legislative achievements, developmental interventions, and constituency projects since assuming office. The Chief Whip will use the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.
Hon. Umukoro, who has earned recognition for his people-oriented approach to legislation, emphasized that the empowerment program reflects his administration's broader vision to reduce poverty and create opportunities for sustainable growth. He reiterated his dedication to the welfare of his people and the continued transformation of Sapele through effective representation.
Speaking comparatively, with two years already gone, Hon.
