The Rotary club of Sapele, Gateway installed Rotarian Churchill Enyerevwia Ayomanor as their 7th president today 12th October 2025, at the Tossenant 3 event center, Sapele . The event started at exactly 1:30pm with a short prayer , then the national anthem was sang , then dignitaries were recognized along with past presidents.
The outgoing president Rotarian Ogheneveaire Efevberha Ogodo gave her valedictory message , she thanked GOD for a successful tenure "my heart is filled with joy as the outgoing president, we as Rotarians care for the needy, paid fees for 10 children, we went to secondary schools , we celebrate international girls' child day, we give soft loan to business owners which we also do today, In
all let's keep spreading love
whether you are a Rotarians or not
" she said.
As Rotarin Churchill Enyerevwia Ayomanor was installed, board of directors were inducted for the year 2025and 2026. New rotarians were also inducted.
In an interview with journalists, Rotarian Ayomanor expressed joy and gave gratitude to GOD for a successful installation, he promised to give his best. In his speech, "I thank GOD for a successful installation, we have seven area of projects at hand and some has been taken care of . My core focus is to make sure I meet up my seven area of focus and also make sure I serve humanity ," he also said that as a rotarian, they give to humanity, the less privileged in the community and that it is all about group of friends that come together to help humanity.
The theme for the year is unite for good and help to be united in all we do" he said.
Rotarian Ayomanor has a lot of good leadership role that made him qualify for the prestigious position.
He was born into the distinguished Ayomanor family, one of the co-founding families of Sapele, the seventh child of his parents.
He attended Okotie - Eboh primary School, then Okotie - Eboh secondary school all in Sapele. He later got his university degree from the prestigious Ambrose Ali University,Ekpoma, Edo State.
In his polical career, he has committed a lot to public service in his polical career. He served as a supervisory counselor for environment , Sapele 2019 to 2013.
He was also elected as a leader of the seventh Assembly Sapele legislative Arm 2021 to 2024. He was noted as one of the vibrant leader in the council.
In Chief Owumi 's brief interview with journalists, " Rotarian Ayomanor has been a brother, I know he will do well and I will support him all through " he said.
Rotarian Tosan Happy Mine, another vibrant rotarian, a past assistant governor, a major project donor also gave a brief interview to journalists, "i wish him all the best and I will give him all my support to make sure he succeds. I will continue to support the work to make rotary move to greater heights " he said.
The SSA on media to the governor Delta State, Hon. Eburajolo Chris Wale was not left out in his support at the event. In his interview with journalists, " I am overwhelmed because rotary is about humanitarian, and when you're given an humanitarian honor, you feel honored. Not until the problem of the poor is solved, the rich cannot have peace , when you are a rotarian, you give to the masses, you give to the poor, that makes the society a better place for everybody. I wish Churchill all the best as stirs the leadership of Sapele Gateway. He should keep the flag flying and he should emulate his predisessor and makes sure rotary stands" he advised.
The event was filled with fun and alot of dignitaries graced the event amongst whom were Ukakuro Anthony Owumi, Council chairman represented by Hon. Raymond Overah, secretary Sapele council, Teacher Happy Overah, Clerk of Sapele legislative Arm, Hon. Godwin, Atuse, amongst others.
