A US-based medical doctor is facing accusations from the Niger Delta Renaissance Organization (NDRO) for allegedly abandoning two young Nigerians, known as the Happi Boys, in Cyprus after promising them a better life. Dr. Ochu's unfulfilled promise reportedly led to the boys' arrest and subsequent deportation from Cyprus.
The NDRO claims that the promise was made to the Happi Boys after they had a conflict with Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM) earlier this year.
Furthermore, the group accuses Dr. Ochu of engaging in dubious activities, including extorting money from young Nigerians through his NGO called "Doctor on Call." They allege that he collected 5,000 naira from Nigerians facing health challenges and then abandoned them, as exemplified by the case of Miss Ogbonna Kalu from Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, who has gained attention on social media.
Comrade Nwokoma Messiah, the National Coordinator of the NDRO, issued a statement vowing to reveal more information about Dr. Daniel Ochu's activities.
According to the NDRO, Dr. Ochu's actions are intended to tarnish the commendable efforts of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere and must be exposed.
The alleged US doctor became involved in the dispute between the OPM General Overseer and the Happi Boys when Apostle Chinyere offered to bring them back to Nigeria to continue their studies. However, Dr. Ochu allegedly made false promises, claiming to have connections with the Vice President of Cyprus. This motivated the boys to create videos making damning allegations against the Port Harcourt-based clergy and even insulting him.
The NDRO is deeply concerned about these manipulative and exploitative actions targeting young Nigerians who have benefited from Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere's good works. The organization plans to conduct investigations and present its findings to the relevant authorities to expose those responsible.
These allegations against Dr. Ochu have emerged following videos targeting Apostle Chinyere, aiming to bring him down despite his church's significant contributions to various sectors in Nigeria, including maternal health, education, and empowerment. It is worth considering whether these accusations are an attempt to tarnish the doctor's image, as Dr. Daniel Ochu has previously accused Apostle Chibuzor of allegedly defiling young girls in his residence.
