The Honorable Commissioner Bureau for Special Duties, Etacherure Ejiro Terry has visited the scene of a devastating arson attack that razed a four-bedroom bungalow to the ground behind Winners Church, Bonsacc Asaba.
The Commissioner in company of the Director Delta State Fire Service Dr. Eugene Oziwele visited the family dwelling place wwhich was completely razed down with four cars and a mini shuttle due to dispute between the home owner and his daughter’s fiance.
While inspecting the wreckage this morning, Hon Etacherure expressed shock and outrightly condemned the attack, stating that there was need for people to be tolerant of opposing views without resorting to violence that could threaten the peace and safety of others in the State.
While expressing zero tolerance for such acts of arson by the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led administration, the commissioner took some time to commend the officers and men of the Delta State Fire Service Command for their swift response to contain the inferno and ensure that there was no loss of life. He lauded their dedication to duty despite the challenges faced in controlling the inferno from spreading to adjoining properties.
