Agnes Tager: Oborevwori Expresses Gratitude at Mother-in-Law's Funeral


Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, expresses heartfelt appreciation to attendees of his late mother-in-law's funeral, the esteemed Madam Agnes Avwenyotoma Tager.

During the thanksgiving service at Christ Apostolic Church in Ughelli, Governor Oborevwori, accompanied by his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, and other family members, took the opportunity to give thanks to God for the smooth and peaceful burial ceremony of their beloved mother-in-law, mother, and grandmother.

Recognizing the remarkable life his mother-in-law lived, the Governor extends gratitude to all who dedicated their time and resources to ensure a successful send-off. He specifically acknowledges the unwavering support of church leaders, members, and traditional rulers, affirming the family's continued reliance on God, the ultimate authority over all creation.

In his sermon titled "Do Not Kill Trust," Pastor Paul Onoroha encourages Christians to place their trust in God during every circumstance, as He has the power to guide individuals through any challenge. The clergyman emphasizes that trust is earned through meeting expectations and adopting the right attitude in all aspects of life, asserting that diligence leads to recognition even in the presence of influential figures.

Prominent figures attending the service include the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor; State PDP Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso; Members of the National Assembly and State Assembly, such as Hon. Nicholas Mutu, Hon. Victor Nwokolo, and Hon. Julius Pondi; Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu; Chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata; Mr. Mideno Bayagbon; Mr. Hope Oborevwori; Chief Fred Majemite; and Chief Kome Okpobor.

Also present were members of the State Executive Council, distinguished guests, government officials, and a gathering of traditional rulers led by the Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers' Council and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Maj. Gen.
