The leaders of the People's Democratic party, Oviore community and ward 5 Ovu played host to dignities as they welcomed their illustrious son Rt Hon. Lovette Ediri Idisi, former Eathiope East federal constituency representative on his appointment as executive assistant to the Delta State Government liason , federal capital territory, Abuja on Saturday 20th 2024, at Chief Idisi residence Oviore Ovu, Eathiope East local government area, Delta state.
The event took a grand shape as Hon. Idisi was celebrated for his appointment as the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Government Liason, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The event also celebrated the governor of Delta State Rt Hon. Sheriff oborewvori of his victory at the supreme court over senator Ovie Omo Agege of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
As the celebration took shape, the king Ukori 1st, Ovie of Abgon kingdom. King Ogurumeme, celebrated Hon. Idisi, thanking God, saying the appointment was deserved as he also rejoiced for the victory of the governor Hon. Oborewvori, he said , "our hearts are filled with joy for Eathiope East that this appointment is accosted to our illustrious son, we are indeed greatful to the governor, he further said, this victory is a victory for all and not only Eathiope East "
Hon Idisi while appreciating God and the governor, he said that he is happy that he was counted worthy to be honored with this appointment and Eathiope East and Ovu ward 5 especially is greatful also. He said the grand finale will be a Thanksgiving service at the Redeemed christian church, Goshen parish ovu, Sunday 21st 2024.
Speaking with journalist, Hon Idisi said, "the victory of the election is for all uhrobo people, his party and a consolidation from the previous government , we didn't want a situation where there's no continuity, where the chain will be broken which will amount to broken project as well, because a new government from a new party will probably not continue with the project of the old party, So it's not only a victory to the uhrobo people but to the entire Delta state".
Speaking further, he added to the king's words that Eathiope East was served at the national level, that she has gathered experience and that she is back to the state where she is sent back to Abuja to liase on behalf of his excellency, the governor and the entire people of Delta State.
This will bring more experience to access the seat of power not only for himself but for the people of Ovu and to all that have good intentions towards his excellency, the governor of Delta state, Hon Oborewvori.
In his remark at the supreme court victory of the governor of Delta state, Rt Hon sheriff Oborewvori over senator Ovie Omo Agege of the All Progressive Congress, APC, the previous day, he said the victory was well deserved and assured the people of Delta state of better opportunities, access to empowerment and the dividends of democracy will be seen everywhere even to the grassroots.
Also speaking, the ward chairman, Chief Adifue John said the appointment of Idisi is a big testimony to the people of Oviore, Ovu and Eathiope East " we thank The governor for finding one of our son worthy of this position", he posited.
Chief Mike Adiotomre , a PDP stalwart in Eathiope East commended Hon. Idisi's appointment and praised governor Oborewvori's victory at the supreme court. He said " Lovette Idisi 's appointment is a proof of hardwork and commitment, and that it will bring more development to our great state" .
Dignities present at the occasion including his royal majesty the Ovie of Agbon kingdom, king Ogurumeme Ukori, with political leaders such as Chief Ighoyota Amori, Chief James Akpooighuri, Mrs Tessy Torum, Chief Precious Ikposu, Chief Idogho and a host of others.
