During a Christmas and New Year visit by the State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), led by Hon. Victor Ebonka at Government House, Asaba, Governor Oborevwori expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the council chairmen's dedication to their respective local government areas. Highlighting the importance of peace and security at the local government level, the Governor emphasized that his administration had successfully delivered on its campaign promises over the past seven months. He assured everyone that the coming year would surpass its predecessor in positive outcomes. Governor Oborevwori expressed his delight, saying, "I am thrilled to receive you all here today on this Christmas visit, and I want to extend my appreciation for your presence and the commendable work you are doing in your respective local government areas. As I have consistently emphasized in my MORE Agenda, without peace in your local government, we cannot enhance overall peace and security. With the grace of God, I am confident that 2024 will be an even better year for all of us, both at the state and national levels." Earlier, Hon. Ebonka conveyed ALGON's warm wishes to the Governor for Christmas and the New Year, taking the opportunity to thank him for his visionary leadership style and unwavering support for the state's councils. Notably, throughout Governor Oborevwori's tenure as Speaker, no Council Chairman was summoned to the House of Assembly—an achievement that Hon. Ebonka acknowledged and appreciated. He also expressed gratitude to the Governor for reinstating Hon. Juan Governor, the Chairman of Ndokwa East, following a suspension. In a related development, Governor Oborevwori hosted the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, and other House members at Government House, Asaba.
