The Executive Assistant on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Cyril Ogodo, has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his outstanding developmental achievements across the state, describing him as a divine gift to Deltans. According to him, Delta State has not experienced this level of progress since the return of democracy in Nigeria.
Chief Ogodo made this known on Wednesday, October 23, while speaking with journalists. He stated that Governor Oborevwori’s administration has brought about remarkable transformation in key sectors, including infrastructure, human capital development, youth empowerment, and social welfare. He emphasized that the governor’s leadership style has positioned Delta as a model of inclusive governance and purposeful leadership.
Highlighting the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, Ogodo cited the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of major roads across the state, particularly the Ughelli–Ugwashi-Uku–Asaba road. He recalled the deplorable state of that route before the current administration’s intervention and applauded the governor for ensuring that the project now serves the people effectively. According to him, the improvements in the road network demonstrate the governor’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of all Deltans.
The governor’s aide also praised the administration’s strides in human capital development, describing it as one of the most impactful in recent years. He pointed to the state’s empowerment initiatives, including grants and stipends for widows, market women, and the elderly, as clear evidence of a people-centered government that prioritizes the needs of the vulnerable. Ogodo noted that such initiatives have brought renewed hope to many families across Delta State.
Speaking further, Chief Ogodo observed that other critical sectors such as health and education have also received significant attention under the Oborevwori administration. He stated that ongoing investments in hospitals, schools, and training programs are transforming the state’s social and economic landscape, making life more meaningful for ordinary citizens.
He also commended the growing wave of support and endorsements for Governor Oborevwori and President Bola Tinubu across the state and the country, describing it as a reflection of good governance and effective leadership. According to Ogodo, when leaders deliver on their promises, the people respond with loyalty and trust.
Chief Cyril Ogodo therefore called on all well-meaning Deltans to rally behind Governor Oborevwori to ensure the continued success of his administration. He maintained that collective support for the governor’s vision would not only sustain the ongoing development but also bring greater glory to Delta State and to God.
